They definitely sell most league and cup games at all the unions at quite a knockdown price. As much as I hated the superleague stuff, and the ringleaders handled it terribly, they are probably right that there just isn't an international market for City vs Burnley in the same way there is for City vs Messi and Neymar. But you're right, I'm not sure how so many would have got tickets given it barely made general sale beyond the fact they may have might have paid over the odds for tickets on secondary markets. The Chinese students in particular tend to come from the very, very affluent and emergent Chinese middle-class, so even £200 on a ticket wouldn't be that much to them. The key for City is translating that into two or three league games per season when Messi isn't there.We should be offering the seat exchange/single seat returns which we get for the premier league games on the same basis.
