Champions League - 2021/22

Regulars here know all about the shocking customer service and are psychologically prepared for the potential horror show that awaits them if they have to deal directly with the club. Likewise, other frequent visitors to the Etihad will probably be aware of how bad things are and will more than likely begrudgingly tolerate it.
But the casual fan who has shelled out for a Cityzens membership with the intention of getting to a couple of home games this season is going to lose heart and interest pretty quickly if they have a problem and that’s very worrying in the long term.

I think most long term fans are aware that however bad the customer services is, people who go to the ground will get into the stadium for the match. We played Paris a few years ago and my ticket hadn’t arrived (paper tickets for 93:20). I just showed my season card (for League games) and was let in.

I think the bigger issue for the club and attendance income, is whether Blues will go to the trouble of bringing extra people to Cup games. I can see the increased complexity of doing so hitting attendances.

@Bill I only know you from your posts on here. For you to post that you no longer care should send shudders down any Blue reading this thread.
I don't think anyone in authority at City read the posts but if they do they should be so ashamed and very worried.
You do not seem to be the type that flies off the handle at any little problem, you do not slag City off and have always supported them for many a year.
What is our club turning into ?

I've given up as well, got down to 11 and then went back to 17. It would have been quicker for me to jump in the car and drive 30 mins to the ground.
Just got back from the ground. Queue is about 30 to 40 I'd guess.

There were about 7 windows open when I left and things were moving pretty quickly.

Not an option for everybody I know but it might (amazingly) be quicker than the phone.

The 30 - 40 in the queue are not buying tickets, they are there trying to sort out the shit City are currently serving us. I cannot go to Bruge on Wednesday so I promised a mate he could have the ticket. They have taken my money but I still have no ticket. If, as I believe, it will eventually show up on my android phone I will then have the problem of trying to transfer it to him. For the league games I was not given an option about PAH/transferring which as I was going didnt bother me, this does. I have other things to do in my life than phone City or attend the ground.

Season Ticket holders on the UEFA Champions League Cup Scheme: Season Ticket holders on this Cup scheme are advised your mobile Season Ticket will update to display RB Leipzig later today or tomorrow as the next fixture you are attending.

Quite a few collecting tickets because they neither have an NFC enabled smartphone or a printer, some sorting out expired credit cards on their cup scheme accounts, people having difficulties transferring tickets etc. All a bit of a mess really.

So first was no later than the 13th now it might be the 14th. With the game on the 15th I can see lots having issues when the tickets don't download to the wallets as they should leaving very little time to resolve
Its clear due to the further delays there are major problems behind the scene so give us the courtesy of letting us know then people might be a bit more understanding

Thats what I mean, it isnt 30 new customers putting money into the clubs coffers. It is 30 pissed off disgruntled fans that have given up on the phone and gone down to the ground instead.

I know. We've replaced a simple system that worked really well with a complete mess that significantly inconveniences many people.

Hopefully I managed to sort mine out yesterday after only an hour on the phone.
Says it all when I’m pleased about ONLY spending an hour on the phone.

Sadly, the point at which the club sit up and take notice will be when so many fans just say "fuck it" and it impacts the balance sheet. I suggest those responsible for this latest clusterfuck spend some time reading this thread...and then resign.

The club will be losing money already and they will just blame it on COVID, nothing to do with their botched job implementing a new system.

Yep. That said, and considering all the issues tickets do still appear to be shifting quite well for Leipzig. Most of the blocks in EL3 are back on sale and I'd expect the rest of those blocks plus maybe some in CB3 to appear for sale later today/tomorrow morning. I wouldn't bet against SS3 blocks making an appearance at some point too. At current rates of sale, I can see a near 50k crowd which isn't bad considering 1) So many fans are struggling to buy/transfer tickets and 2) We have no fans

We normally get a rush in the last couple of days of sales so close to 50k would be a very good attendance in the circumstances. Some who aren’ regulars will prioritise the Paris game but the Leipzig match could be a belter

Some Blues’ mobile tickets / wallets have now updated for Leipzig. Mine hasn’t so it mustn’t all happen in one go

Someone has just asked me to get them 2 tickets for Wednesday - 1 adult and 1 child. I've no idea how to go about it and some of the stories of how difficult it is are putting me off but I told him I'd try and sort it. Can I just buy 2 online through my account and select print at home or would I have to assign him and his daughter to my friends and family list first?
