Of course, sausage fingers after a couple of vino’s! I listen to the album regularly, love the lyrics of Jimmy Jazz but it’s such a unique album.

As a 20 year old London Calling encapsulated the mood of 1979, Russia had invaded Afghanistan (sounds familiar) but the UK, United States, Pakistan and others were backing the Mujahideen (who eventually won) but it was a bit scary, “ a nuclear error” was a bit sinister.

I absolutely love Spanish bombs, I was in Ibiza in 1982 with friends, we adopted a Yorkshire lad who was on his own, I put the track on the juke box, he’d never heard the song before. Hotel prices in Manchester for all 3 games are taking the absolute piss! I don’t live to far away but normally make a good day & night of it and stop over (house full of kids) they were well ahead of the game this year

get in the travelodge at Ashton, right on the tram system ,only about 20 mins when its rammed from there
