Bollocks. Tony Pullis would win the World Cup with that amount of money.

Other than the absolutely illogicality of that statement the point of it is still ridiculous. The fact that Mourinho led teams come so close year after year, even when his expenditure is low suggests it's a lot more about the man than the money. If he was at our club people would be saying we only ran deep in the Champions league due to the money whereas even with a very good manager like Mancini we went out in the group stages. In fact with most managers we would've gone out in the group stages even with a large expenditure, Mourinho is different, he really is the special one.
Not tonight he isnt

Yes he is. Is Messi no longer the best footballer in the world because he hasn't played that well over the last few games? Just because he hasn't managed to get to another final does not detract away from the fact that he is the best manager in the world and indeed the special one.

I did say Neuer to have a blinder with Bayern winning..but I didn't think they'd make it so hard for themselves.

Ronaldo is a bottler if ever I've seen one, overrated with the rags, and still over rated now. Not even close to Messi when it comes to "best player in the world" he's excellent, world class, no because he doesn't work hard enough, he's selfish and blames others for his incompetency.
Bayern have heart, passion, players who will work for eachother. Looking around when there was a shot of Bayern before the penalties they were all backing Neuer, smilling. Everyone in it together.

Madrid..Madrid are not a team, just a group of individuals there for nothing more than the money.
Messi bottled it far worse last night than Ronaldo did tonight.

Ronaldo has always chocked on the big stage, even when he was back with the rags. He did it when they were up against the weak teams but when they were in trouble against tougher sides in important games he crumbled. That year where he scored that ridiculous amount of goals were off the back of increidibly hard work from Rooney and one or two others. He can make himself look good and he has moments of absolute brilliance at times but his attitude when things aren't going well is what drags him down time and time again. He's lazy, self obsessed and blames everyone around him but himself.
Everything's great when it's going well, not tracking back doesn't matter because that's just the type of player he is, but it hurts every team he's with again and again when things go badly.

As for Messi. He's carried Barca on nights when nobody else stepped up. He genuinely is a world class player who had an off game or two.
He tries, he's heart, he's about the team. Ronaldo however, he's about the pay and the headlines.

Messi is the greatest player of all time in my opinion but he is all about himself as well. He didn't even celebrate when Barca won the champions league in 2005 because he was left out.

when are Real ever gonna win it? they won't have a better chance, Mourinho fucks up, Real fuck up, nobody saw this coming this week.

wow.

How did Mourinho fuck up? Pretty sure he can't be held accountable for three huge players missing crucial penalties.

The same thing could be said about Mancini. He should have won us the premiership and every other tournament with the money he has. However you don't take into account the heart and determination of the other teams, what your players will do..like go on a 5 month break, or act like a childish clown every time he takes to the feel. Logically we shuold have it in the bag, but money doesn't count for everthing and it certainly doesn't take into account for human error.

-- Wed Apr 25, 2012 11:07 pm --

You mean when he was 17/18 and he missed the end of the season due to injury? He has matured as a player and has the ability to take pressure and carry his team at times.
He works for the team. He works hard, whatever about what he's like off the field it doesn't come into view on the pitch and that is the most important thing. Play as a team because you can't win anything alone.

He is the same egomaniac that Ronaldo is, just Ronaldo's is clear to see and Messi's isn't. You can say Ronaldo works hard. If you look at his distance covered stats he covers more ground than Messi.

They don't have the same attitude. Messi will work and cover back and work for the team. Ronaldo is lazy and will run when it suits him. He rarely tracks back and any mistakes he does make he blames on the people around him.
They may be similar in some ways, but where it counts they're different.

Too bad it had to come down to penalties, I hate penalties! The Germans were never going to lose on penalties I was surprised Lahm and Kroos missed, just shows anything can happen in football.

Thought Madrid has the better chances that match but I think Bayern are a sure bet to win at their place against Chelsea, although it would be interesting if they pulled off another miracle.

It sucks that so many players will miss the final due to an accumulating a couple of yellow cards in previous games. I'm not talking about terry, he deserves it.
