Other than the absolutely illogicality of that statement the point of it is still ridiculous. The fact that Mourinho led teams come so close year after year, even when his expenditure is low suggests it's a lot more about the man than the money. If he was at our club people would be saying we only ran deep in the Champions league due to the money whereas even with a very good manager like Mancini we went out in the group stages. In fact with most managers we would've gone out in the group stages even with a large expenditure, Mourinho is different, he really is the special one.
Yes he is. Is Messi no longer the best footballer in the world because he hasn't played that well over the last few games? Just because he hasn't managed to get to another final does not detract away from the fact that he is the best manager in the world and indeed the special one.
