Nah, Flamini got the ball. No red for me. Yellow is fine.
Doesn't matter if he got the ball, it was 2 footed, he was off the ground - reckless and dangerous and a red card.

I disagree, and so does the official. To me, that wasn't enough to end the game as a contest.

So; if that tackle had been committed against, say, Tevez or Silva, you wouldn't have been screaming for a red card? It was a shocking tackle, and getting the ball doesn't absolve him from blame. Isn't the wording in the rulebook on those types of tackles something along the lines of recklessly endangering an opponent? That tackle certainly did endanger the opponent.

Well it ended Corluka's game, and i'd imagine many more to come.

Is VDV injured or out of steam? Can't see any other reason to take him off.

fitness issue I believe, can't finish whole match.

When Nigel De Jong kung-fu kicked Xabi Alonso, it should have been a red. But I'm glad that the official didn't end the contest early.

If he had actually planted a foot in his ankle, that would have been a red. To me, that wasn't enough for a red, not in this situation.
