The praise for arsenal is appaulling. If it's a league 2 side that has just taken a top premier league side to penalties in the 3rd round of the fa cup, you hear that kind of praise, and rightly so.

when you have spent well over a billion pounds on the squad, you cannot be acting like rank outsiders trying to shithouse their way to a win and be praised for it.

Arsenal have the right to do it however they want and their fans can voice their opinions either way but the rest of us want to watch football, pundits praising the complete antithesis of what we want to watch from one of the most expensively assembled squads in world football is part of the problem.

Begrudging acceptance if they pull it off, widespread disapproval if they fail should be the reaction.

The game should never be played like that if you're one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Declan Rice speaking so well after the game and fair play to him, shame he didn’t shine on the pitch as I thought he was very very basic. More to do with Arteta and the way they’ve set up for the game.

He always comes across as a pretty decent bloke. And I suppose you can't blame him too much for the ridiculous hype that surrounds him. He's an above average footballer, nothing more. Nowhere near the best midfielder in the country. Much as it pains me to say it, the Trafford rat has had a far more influential season than him.

My money is going on the rags as pigmol and var will do next season what they did for Arsenal this one.

Although that sounds logical and the premier league now have their tried and tested tool (PGMOL) to swing the balance, I don't believe the rags have got it in them.

Carrick is going to struggle next season, having to play more than once a week. He won't be able to rely on the same eleven playing in their favoured positions.

The honeymoon period is over now between Carrick and the players and the British media won't be able to help themselves; They'll be talking the rags up for the title and the pressure will destroy them.

Best thing about Arsenal losing is that this was their chance. With other teams, you might think that they will come back another year. But playing the harramball Arsenal does, you have to have a run of extreme luck and have pretty much everything going your way to reach this far and it wont happen again anytime soon. A team unable to dictate games against any good opponent that gets results from parking the bus and scoring corners only get a chance like this once every other decade.

Let’s be honest, the luck they had with that draw was astonishing. They will never get that again. Then there was the stone wall penalty they should have conceded in the semis. In the quarters they beat an average side 1-0 on aggregate over 2 legs.

They’re bang average, probably the worst Premier League Champions ever and flopped in the cups.

I think it says everything that we’ve just had, by our usual standards, a season of bang average performances, yet we still ended up with more trophies than any other side in the country.

Your lot have just put a gargantuan effort in yet still needed 250 set pieces, shithousing for half an hour every week and a helping hand from the officials every week to limp over the line with 85 points. You’ve won a poor league and will not be considered a great side or remembered by anyone worth their salt.

Your performance tonight was pathetic. It was like watching a league one side coming to the Etihad in the fa cup and sitting with 11 behind the ball and hoping to blag something from the game. You looked completely out of your depth and it showed with your 2 shots on target.

This ..League 2 .That Salford City number nine was more effective when they played us than any of their forwards tonight . If your going to play park the bus you need a big strong bastard up front to hold up play when it hoofed forward and win the foul up the pitch . The goal was well taken but it was a lucky break the way the ball fell to them .
