Champions League Final 2026 | Sat 30th May | Paris Saint-Germain v Arsenal

We were playing PSG and for all their possession it wasn't like they had a ton of chances. If we'd gone toe to toe we'd have been ripped apart. We didn't lose the match (obviously apart from pens which is a lottery) so if it had gone the other way and footballers paid £200k+ a week actually manage to hit the fucking target from 12 yards then the dastardly plan might have worked.

I'd imagine heavy investment in the summer plus we are guaranteed CWC qualification unless 2 different PL sides win the CL in the next couple of years and neither of them is Arsenal or City (the 2 PL sides with the highest English coefficients).
Genuine question. There seems to be a narrative forming that next season you lot are going to play like prime Barca, let the shackles off etc…

Fascinated to understand how Arteta suddenly transforms his mindset and his players mindsets to go from playing for corners, rolling around, time wasting, feigning head injuries and largely shitting the bed against any team that he deems can outplay them… all during a shortened pre season with a World Cup in the middle of it.

You are going to play the exact same way. Let’s not kid ourselves.

I feel soooo happy this morning. Its like a sense of justice has been achieved. It endorses Pep being the best manager, who created the best team ever, playing a brand of football (when not clicking 100% can be frustrating for sure) but its a proper brand of playing the beautiful game none the less

If that bunch of philistine, monosylabic red lemmings were crowned euro champions genuinely would have felt pig sick right now.

Haha even better that twat judge jules is on 5live now chatting shite. Shit dj. Complete mug. smarmy toad
I whole heartedly agree.

Thats a heavy dose of copium you're taking there but you're forgetting one vital thing, the world has fucking eyes, we all saw that affront to the game of football.

And more investment? You hypocritical fucks, 280m spent last last year and nearly 1bn spent under arteta and u want more heavy investment, that the organic do thing the right way arsenal? You're club has more front than blackpool and even less appeal.

Anyone got a clue what that Arsenal launching the ball straight into the air from kick offs was about? Weird as fuck.

The bottom line is Arsenal had the opportunity and players to make a proper game of it but chose to try and shithouse their way to victory. In the second half of the Premier League it worked, but it was a coin toss if it would work in the final of the CL. When we won it, we went all out to win, kept the coin in our pocket and managed our own destiny.
That’s the way to win it.
That started in Scotland, I think the idea is to cause confusion as the ball comes down it literally could go anywhere, another is booting the ball into the corner for the opposition to have a throw in so you can press them immediately up the pitch without haveing to pass your way up the pitch.

Basically a cross between rugby and American football.

The football authorities need to get a grip with Arsenal's keeper stopping the game while he feigns cramp.
Another tool in their dark arts armour
Every time the game is stopped for a tactical time out like this the ref needs to tell the rest of their players to stand on the opposite side of the pitch to the dugout and tell the coaching staff to stay on their side of the pitch.

UEFA should strip PSG of the title and give it to Arsenal because of the violence that erupted last night.

- A Gooner somewhere, probably.

Is this another fine margins bullshit thing? If so they can fucking keep it, fine margins in football should be a 1% chance of someone banging it in the top corner or he had no chance of making that pass not the team has an extra 3.2% chance of scoring if they get a corner or a freekick in this area, that can fuck right off i like watching footballers that play with freedom like doku and cherki not fucking plodders and robots.

Arteta decided against playing Gyokeres in the two biggest games of the season (Etihad and the tonight)

Eze came on AFTER Madueke and Martin Ellis.

Gabriel taking the FIFTH penalty and missing is what dreams are made of.
Gabrielle the singer with the eye patch could probably take a better pen.

It's not as if you've paid over £1b on players, plucky underdogs Arsenal did well just getting to the final on their shoestring budget.
