I think Akanji is the right call. He's just far more comfortable on the ball than Walker and I don't think there's anything between them in terms of pace.

I always like Walker in there as the security of anyone breaking from a counter attack but we didn’t have Walker in the Bayern games if I remember right and akjani is no slouch in a one to one if needed ..

I think not playing walker is a mistake...he has been brilliant recently. Unless pep wants more height/ better aerial defence or maybe better build up through the lines?
Or unless he ain't fully fit?
