Champions League Final | Post-Match Thread

This was posted few hours before the goal actually went in similar way. Those who followntactics mentioned us conceding something similar against United and against Chelsea in FA Cup. It will be targetted more and more now

Well 22 years to the day since the play off against Gillingham, the feeling of elation, unbelievable fucking unbelievable, the train journey back no booze but buzzin, have a beer or two tomorrow was my thoughts. Now these years later and the dejection we feel now will take some time to wear off, like in 2018,2019 and 2020. Weird but it feels like a relegation which of course it’s not, just a missed opportunity, a chance to get the monkey off our back. To me it has echos of 2012, in the last few minutes when we were 2-1 down thinking this is it, we‘ll never get a better chance. That day the gods smiled on us and gave us something that will probably never be repeated.

Match threads are hilarious.

Sterling fan boys litrally celebrate him just making a succesful pass these days like a fucking panenka

All i see is a player that resembles a Toddler runnig around with a Nappy full of shit, falling over, fucking literally everything up.

Praying that one of his Ball give aways dont result in aquick counter goal.
Spot on. Certain people buzzing off him if he manages to make it into the pitch with his boots on the right feet. He’s absolutely shite.

We lost a final and it hurts, we had no divine right to win it, we have won a double this season lots of fans don’t get this close to win anything, let’s not turn into the very type of fan we all hate ie scouse or rag we try again next season city forever now enjoy the break.

Mate, it was a final. We had a week off & a fully fit squad to choose from. What rotation?

You play your strongest team & respect the opposition. We didn't & were soundly beaten. The fault of this defeat lies with Guardiola. It's really as simple as that.
Also odd that Gundog was DM up against three speed-merchants. He’s not the fastest at the best of times and the day before he took a knock and had to finish training early. Yes he is a reliable player and has experience, but there has to be a limit!

We have so many great Managers on this web site its Fxxxxxx Frightning, I hope they realise when they take the job they cannot loose a game, and they must win every trophy, Fxxx me they just might, idiots.

His stubbornness really fucks me off, will never make a change at half time if it's not working because that will be an admittance that he got it wrong from the start. If we could replay the game tomorrow I think he'd pick exactly the same team again
I don't think he would pick the same side again. I think he'd approach the match as he did with Dortmund & PSG, & show our opposition a modicum of respect.

I don’t know about anyone else but I’m still fucking livid
I was angry last night but I'm just disappointed now. We had a bloody great season. Bringing the prem trophy back to ours mattered more, especially after the scouse shite had it, and that's what I am focusing on now.
It's bloody hard though.
