That team selection was stupid. We all know exactly how Chelsea play. That was kamikaze tactics and completely unnecessary.

This is his worst tactical decision yet because this was not a City side who couldn't defend (Lyon). I could understand his motivation then. Don't understand why he did this.
 
Not much between the two teams....chelsea defend so so well and so so compact and are dangerous in attack

Pep made a mistake with playing Gundo in DM instead of either Rodri or Ferna and the game changed when Ferna came on

Sterling and Mahrez went missing and Sterling should not have started but KDB wasnt great either

Kante and Reece James were excellent for chelsea as were the chelsea centre halves
 
Blame on Guardiola that, Tuchel done him over tactically again. We had no players in the middle never had control of the game, should have changed it after 20min or at halftime. Oh well, a disappointing end to a good season.

That's the thing though, I think we were undone by Pep, we lost this game when the team sheets came out. I think if we played like we have pretty much the last 6 months we would've won it

And then he chooses the biggest game in our Club history to experiment and fuck about, So we all end up talking about him.

Right from the off the players looked confused by his system

Sure he will win us Leagues over 38 games, where his fuck ups can be erased over a season.

He will never win the Champions League, his Ego gets in the way of common sense too often in knock out competitions.

He did tonight exactly what he did against Lyon last season.

Sadly Chelsea deserved this we should have been 3 - 0 down before Pep reluctantly made changes.

Sorry but you can’t go into this game playing players who are out of form. Why did Sterling start, after his chance he disappeared, saying that we had 5 or 6 players playing poorly. Why change formation again when it’s worked all season? Wrong team , piss poor performance
 
Tuchel, Flick, Nagelsmann, Klopp....seems like the Germans have reached an era of perfection in the English game. Say what you will about German coaches but when its time to get the job done, they role their sleeves up and get on with the task at hand. No fancy bullshit, just straight pragmatism.
