I don't think you'd have anything to worry about at all. I suppose it's understandable that people would be concerned, but as a cup scheme member, when you look around you at CL games, do you see many of the fans who normally occupy seats near to you? I reckon any cup scheme member would storm to a ticket in the bottom two price categories. This would be a £1k trip for most people and that will put plenty off.

I suppose I'd better qualify the above comment - we still need to beat Real Madrid before worrying about anything else.

I was thinking of hanging on and if we qualify then see what Sport Options are offering in terms of flight and hotel packages. However, for the final in Porto they offered both a flight and hotel package (which I went for) and a flight only option where you book your own accommodation (which is what my mates did). The latter was cheaper so I'm thinking of reserving a room for 2 nights (9th and 10th) with free cancellation. Plenty of cheap rooms around but I've literally no idea what the best area is, or which is the most accessible to the stadium!

On the scheme with a mere 8k points, praying I'll be okay but might have to fork out a pretty penny for one of the expensive tickets (if we get there!)

Just to back this up, I know for a fact that there are only 15K cup scheme members for the Champions League so you are guaranteed a ticket.

I'm currently on 17K and Cup Scheme and I got one but they sold out not long after. It may have been that there was no cup scheme in place that year because of COVID, though.

I’ve took the plunge and booked flights, figure that god forbid we don’t get to the final then I’ll just have 3 days in Istanbul anyway as never been there before.
