Champions League Final | Tickets - City Official Package + UEFA Tickets | 2022 Final (pg 1033)

Well refusing to sell to online ticket touts would be a good start so the average person has a better shot at getting a ticket, rather than having to pay over a thousand pounds. Cancelling tickets was inevitable, but doing this whilst also selling on to third party companies who massively increase the resale price is not on
They can get them from individuals as we at City know only too well. UEFA sell them directly

My initial thoughts about the testing to get into the stadium (for those with tickets) will mean lots of fans having to take an additional test over there, along with all the other tests needed.

But actually it shouldn't matter too much and there is ample chance to kill 2 birds with 1 stone on the testing front.

The only people getting stung for this additional testing requirement is anyone going for an extended period of time.

I'm almost reluctant to type all this up and end up going down the rabbit hole, but here goes.

UEFA want a negative PCR within 72 hours of the game, or antigen within 48 hours.
Portugal want a negative PCR done within the 72 hours before you arrive.

UK want a negative PCR/antigen done in any of the 3 full days before you fly back (example, your flight back to UK is Monday so you can obtain the PCR/antigen any time on the Friday, Saturday or Sunday)

Scenario 1.
Supporter on the day trip.
Their negative PCR test taken in UK before travel will cover both the stadium requirement and pre departure back to UK requirement.

Scenario 2.
Supporter departs UK on Friday, returns Sunday.
If they get a same day PCR test done on the Thursday, this will cover both the stadium requirement and pre departure back to UK requirement.

Scenario 3.
Supporter departs UK Friday, returns Sunday, but does their PCR test on the Wednesday before travel.
It's not quite clear on exact timings, however assume this supporter will also need to undergo another PCR/antigen in Portugal to gain entry to the stadium. This PCR/antigen test will then also qualify for the requirement of a negative test before their return to the UK.

Scenario 4.
Supporter departs UK on Friday, returns Monday, but does their PCR test on Wednesday before travel.
Same as scenario 3.

Scenario 5.
Supporter departs UK on Thursday, returns Monday.
The PCR test done in the UK before departure likely wouldn't cover you for the stadium entry requirement due to timings.
Doing an antigen test in Porto on the Friday will then suffice for the stadium entry requirements along with the pre departure back to UK requirement.

(be aware none of the above covers the day 2 test that you are required to do within 2 days of landing back in the UK and has to be pre booked)

Appreciated. Very clear. Now about these match tickets :)
