I think 15,000 is what you'd expect for someone who has had an S/T since the points system began, goes to all the home games and is on the cup schemes, but rarely sees an away match other than cup finals. There could be one hell of a rush tomorrow.

In truth, the points issue doesn't bother me. I only went to away games in substantial numbers in the 70s and 80s. Home and away games and marriage and five kids - not conducive to family life (for me). So I only do home games and cup finals now.

My comment about our more mature fans with the most points getting quieter with age was just a light-hearted one. I don't know which clubs have a ballot system, but some do - I read something about it last August/September.

An awful lot depends on tickets having your name printed on them if not covid test in your name would work its a chance you take.

Exactly the same boat, booked on the pretence I wouldn't get a ticket but will be in Porto with thousands of Blues before and after the game, if we get a ticket great, if not I was expecting to anyway.
To be honest, I think my preference would be to have a 2 night bender in Porto with a load of Blues with free reign of Porto and a potential chance of a ticket, than be carted on day trip planes in and out without soaking up the pre match and post match atmosphere.
