I think it was a fair yellow, personally, as Paulinho waited and was kicking up through the ball (from a dominant position to win it), and Alonso just stretched his leg, studs up, hip height, where he saw Paulinho kicking.

I do agree that 50/50 challenges are far too often given against the more aggressive player, though.

For me Chelsea have just been the better side over 2 legs yet find themselves 4-1 down and all 4 we're silly giveaways. Those 2 shots that hit the post from Willian could have made this a different story.

Certainly despite it being 3-0 I've been pretty impressed by Chelsea. Kante has been brilliant. But good teams and players punish u if u give them a chance :(

Hazard did absolutely nothing tonight. Never does enough when it matters to justify the praise and attention he gets. Willian in contrast,took the game to barca whenever he could and has looked a threat everytime he's picked the ball up.

I was thinking of that exactly. He is also very good at the Jesus-esque one touch layoffs, which is one of the few things that disengages the brakes on parked buses.

He's turned into Jesus Navas since we said this.
