Champions League games 3/4th November

I know how much we enjoy watching the Rags lose, but just to bring everyone down to earth, in 1968 Malcolm Allison proclaimed we were going to conquer Europe (he may have said terrorise or terrify or something like that). In the first round we drew at home to Fenerbache, who I think were part timers then, and lost away to go out at the first hurdle.

No reason not to enjoy the Rags pain but it can happen to anybody.

Described them as part time waiters, I think? Malcolm was a great coach, ahead of his time, but you wouldn't leave alone with your chequebook....

The commentator on BT was embarrassing. Any time a rag player touched the ball near the instanbul penalty his voice went up a few decibels. MAGUIRE !!! ITS POGBA...!!!!!! .AND IT!!!!....ooh..
At one time l thought that the name Rooney had to be shouted out as they did it every single time for him.

Remember it all too well....we'll terrify Europe.

Actually Joe Mercer was the manager at the time.

Christ like.

As in "Christ, he can play shite when he wants to!"
But he can run fast and kick the ball hard.

He refused to sign autographs for the kids on the grounds that he only signs letters to prime ministers now.
