Why are you talking about advantage? You cant foul someone in the build up to a goal (which is what the referees decided it was) and just claim its fine because you had advantage.

They call it a foul, that ends the phase of play and let's them review the penalty incident.

To my knowledge, there's no hard and fast rule that play MUST be pulled back. The ref goes over to make a decision.

It's discretionary decison making from there on in. Haaland had put the ball in the net, anyway.

You cant say "ah ill just give the goal becuase it was a penalty earlier".

As soon as they decide its a foul by Haaland, they can't give the goal.

Then it's a stoppage in play do they can look at the penalty shout the VAR would have already alerted the ref that they needed to check.

Only switched over for the extra time. I know they’re both tired but it really looks very niggly.
