Due to the amount of teams competing, and therefore the increased amount of games. Happened start of last seasons campaign and Arsenal drew the short straw for that Thursday game then played is at the Etihad on the Sunday.

A little early, but keep in mind...

UEFA to change home advantage in Champions League knockouts:

From now on, top 4 teams after the League phase
will have home advantage in the 2nd leg in quarter finals

and top 2 teams after the League phase
will have home advantage in the 2nd leg in semi finals.

Should those teams go out in a preceding knockout round that home advantage will go to the team that kicked them out.

Don't forget the existing UEFA rules that get carried across which are specifically 'Real Madrid and Liverpool will benefit from VAR decisions at any time should there be a risk to their continued participation in the competition. This includes (but is not limited to) penalties awarded for minimal contact/marginal handball calls, penalties not awarded against for strong contact/clear handball, random red cards awarded to opposition players for arbitrary reasons which will never occur again throughout the remainder of the competition'

Not that I'm complaining but I still think it's outrageous that we have an early kick off tonight, you play on thursday night and then have to play us at the Emirates on Sunday. Madness for that significant of a PL match.
How do you feel about your game tonight?
Asking because I've got an acca still going from Crawford winning Sunday along with 6 teams winning on Sunday as well.
My last two results needed are Arsenal and Real Madrid tonight

I think we will win. The drop off from Madrid/Barca to the rest of La Liga is massive. And we have the squad depth this season to play a strong team in every competition.

Purely designed to force teams to field strong teams in the mini-league rather than just settle for a top eight place. Can't have the armchair only fuckwits watching players they've never heard of, can we?

A comprehensive win for Bilbao tonight would be good to see, followed by a comprehensive win for City on Thursday to set us up nicely for the weekend.
