Champions League Games | Gameweek 1 | 16/17/18 Sept '25

They’re a very young team. They only have a couple of players with any experience of being key players in league title winning or CL/WC winning teams (James and Fernandez).

I think they’re building quite well towards getting there in 3 or 4 years or so. When they all hit their prime at the same time, I think they’ll be a top outfit.

Still young and naïve at the moment though.
If that’s there model and I think it is, they will get left behind, the money they’ve spent should be a tilt at a title and CL challenge, but they look a long way off imo

They are going to get found out eventually Liverpool.

Remind me of us at the start of us last season where we were getting wins on the board but it was clear as day we rode our luck in some games and were lucky to get the points.

Three two goal leads they've bottled already this season.

However, they'll win again
Reminds me of that run we had at the end of the 2021-22 season and start of the 2022-23 season where we went on a mad run of going two goals down and kept pulling it back to draw or win:

West Ham a, 2-2 (2-0 down)
Villa h, 3-2 (0-2 down)
Newcastle a, 3-3 (3-1 down)
Palace h, 4-2 (0-2 down)

They are bang average and I'm so pissed off Arteta chose to pussy out of attacking them only to get undone by a freak free kick.
