Thing everyone needs to remember though is that the Champions League doesn’t really start until February and everyone’s form THEN is what really matters, not now. So I wouldn’t rule Bayern out based on this. Let’s see how everyone is shaping up after the turn of the year. If they haven’t kicked into gear then, then yeah they’ve regressed.

They’ll be there or thereabouts come spring, to be sure, it’s just that I’m surprised by how unable they are to retain possession.
