Those questioning Vinnie's readiness for such a high-profile job as Bayern are looking a little foolish now, to say the least.
There was an interesting debate on Trans Europe express last Sunday about Vinny.

The German journalist said, to paraphrase him: Vinny has changed the culture of the club. His personality has managed the the egos of the selfish players and some directors and the whole lot are dancing to his tune. It's something never seen before within Bayern. He's created a we play as one team ethic throughout the organisation.

I hope we're keeping tabs on him should he wants to come back of course. He might fancy building his own dynasty somewhere else.

Thought Real were really poor but, from our experiences, they’re like that then seem to come good in the last minutes. Thought they’d do the same to Liverpool but nothing came.

What is it with the likes of VJ holding onto Van Dyke but then letting him waltz pass while moving away to the edge of the area. Then you see them not even bothering to get back, reminds me of PSG with there superstars who don’t need to get back.

On Liverpool, they’re like that were made to look good but will take it and use it as a confidence builder going into our game. Will be a very interesting game.

Unfortunately, I see that Vin has signed a new contract taking to him to 2029. So that seems to be decided in his own mind. I think having managed a genuine big club in Europe, and being one of the most intelligent and authoritative players we've ever had, would have made him at least one of the potential heirs to Pep. But it's not to be.
It'll definitely happen one day as long as he keeps this going.

Very confident going into Sunday after watching this. Madrid didnt get any calls, they kind of shrunk under pressure and Mbappe looked off it.
We are at home with the best striker on the planet, arguably the best player on the planet in the form of his life against a pretty dodgy Liverpool defence. Why not fancy it lads?
Rodri is back too!

I agree.

Why would he leave Bayern if everything is working for him? It's a pinnacle club for any manager.

Whatever people say about that club, there are probably only a few clubs bigger than them in world football.

It's quite fanciful thinking if Pep was to call it a day tomorrow, Vinny would be rushing back to manage us.

Vinny will be our next coach, it’s a given. He loves City way too much and I guarantee, we come calling and he will come back. For Vinny, this place is special. Bayern is a pinnacle job but so is City, he will grow tired of dusting the Bundasliga and want a real challenge.

Just signed a new deal, didn’t he?

Let’s not get cocky. Mbappe has been neck and neck with Haaland as the best striker/player on the planet this season and he barely got a sniff last night.

As big a clown show as Liverpools defence has been for most of the season Van Dijk & Konate is still a top class centre back pairing and Haalands record against them is terrible.

It’s time a few others stepped up and helped the big man out in the goal scoring department.

Contracts can be compensated.

And what’s to say Pep won’t renew, until 2029, when Vinnie will be available without having to compensate the German rags?

He’s hardly going to turn down a contract extension at one of the biggest clubs in the world is he? Doesn’t mean if Pep decided to leave in a couple of years and we wanted Vinnie that he wouldn’t still come back though just because he’s under contract.

I'd like to think you're all right. Truly. Make no mistake, he would be my first choice for here. Over Enrique, even, because he's younger but already experienced. And he knows the club inside out. However, I just think you're all being pretty optimistic. Bayern will fight us tooth and nail if we come in for him — count on it, given their history with us (they are one of the European clubs that see us as intruders). And I could have understood him renewing for a two-year period, maybe even three. Four sounds like a commitment he didn't need to make, if he's expecting to come in two years (under two years, now).
By the way, I would be more than astonished if Pep wanted to go on beyond this two-year extension. I believe his thinking was that he wanted to hand over a renewed and trained team to whoever comes in, because he's responsible like that. Unlike the Govan bully, who saw his club as living and falling by him, apparently.
Of course, it would be wonderful if Pep decided he had the energy to go through to 2029. He looks a bit burnt out to me, or in any case in need of another sabbatical.
