Champions League Games | Quarter-Finals | 8/9/15/16 April '25

Personally, I'm hoping for Inter to win it.

Arsenal - whinging fuckers almost on a level with Liverpool.
Real Madrid - I want them to beat Arsenal but no further.
Paris SG - I don't mind them as such but find it funny that they've failed for all these years and Marseille are still the only French team to win it.
Bayern - can't stand them but would like Vinnie to be successful.
Barcelona - not arsed but would prefer someone unusual (I know they haven't won it for a while).
Aston Villa - we've only just matched their "one" - the last thing we need is them getting to two already.
Dortmund - wouldn't mind it but almost zero chance.
Inter - really good team, good history, not won it since Mourinho, seen them at the Etihad and San Siro this season.

I want Inter to win it, they have a very good team and we found two years ago they were hard to break down. They were unlucky not to get back into it towards the end. Their supporters were sound that day in Istanbul that day too, so they get my vote.

You make a good point about Villa..might have to revise my opinion

I just don’t really want Inter to win. I will get slated for this but it’s because Italy beat England in the 21 Euros. TALK TO THE HAND I DON’T WANT TO HEAR IT.

Still think they are overrated.

They won't win anything with that defence of theirs and I think if they concede less than 3 tonight they will have done well
But you are talking about a side that have gone from recent relegation battle to this season, as if not winning anything is a stick to beat them with. They are developing into a really good side, not the finished article but their progression has been impressive

Tough gig that last night but it might be a different story at our place, they'll have to deal with the stench of bins and cat sized rats, which hopefully might put a few of the fuckers off their game.
We will see mate, if they can do it at Anfield they can do it anywhere. Good luck

I dont mind arsenal winning it, they don't deserve it, they are not real champions tbh. But I don't mind.
Villa are out I think but good luck.
Psg I don't mind, it would be reward for trying to do things properly rather than buying success.
Milan - OK.
I hope bayern win it.

It would have been out year had we been in top. I have a feeling when we win it the CL was at its most difficult. But I would say that.

I think the new system has worked pretty well.

The best teams will arrive in the last 4 and were the ones that were at the top in the group stage.

The one exception is Liverpool who drew PSG. PSG were in bad form in the league phase and Liverpool got very unlucky drawing them but that can happen and I don’t shed any tears for them.

I’ve seen it suggested on here that it doesn’t matter where you finish in the group stage and that teams should play a weakened team and take their chances in the knockout phase. I think the opposite. Teams now know how important it is to get in the top 8. The Liverpool situation is usually the reason given but look at all the other teams situations and who has reached the latter stages.

We were just terrible.

The only tie still up in the air is the Inter v Bayern game.
PSG v Arsenal
Barcelona v Bayern/Inter
That's a really good couple of ties, i reckon it'll be Arsenal v Inter

Just bumping for tonight and tomorrow.

Barca are through, Villa need the first goal to keep theirs alive but PSG should have enough.

If Villa can get one early it’s game on, and the atmospheres there for the start of each game in the CL have been really impressive.

If they go behind early on though it could be a proper beating. Looking forward to it.

Was that not the case with the old format though, last 4 being the best teams?
