Champions League Games | Quarter-Finals | 8/9/15/16 April '25

Exactly and he can't use his best asset which is his rampaging runs forward because he's tasked with being the defensive wall. England should play Wharton there and Rice further forward with a silkier type taking up the other position in the 3.
Cannot see that happening, unfortunately.
Bellingham will stop Rice surging forward, like last night, as he seems to demand and get the ball at all times.
Although Rice completely overshadowed Bellingham last night, it was one of his best ever performances.
Haven't seen Rice as dominant as that, many times ?

The Inter fans were far more gracious in defeat than we would have ever been in Istanbul and their Manager gets the most out of his players.

Either them or PSG for me.

Barcelona crowned as champions would be irritating, but compared to any scenario involving Fat Robby and Jaap Stam's lovechild infesting my TV screen, it wouldn't be a total disaster.

You think they would swap a 100% win record for our 1 win in 7?
Well given that one of the draws their ultimately saw us go on to win the European Cup, something they've never done in their history, and the others mean we have been regularly competing at the latter stages of the competition for the last fifteen years, yes I think they would swap their 100% (two games) record for ours.

Brilliant from the gunners tonight. Just wish we could’ve gone there more often with a mature and confident attitude like they did tonight. They now can go on and win it even without recognition striker.
It's a very strong competition this time around. I think they have the toughest semi final in PSG, but Inter look very good as well.

To this day I fully can't believe how good the Inter lads were after the game. The ones I was around in the old town stayed out having beers, they seemed genuinely happy for us, they kept their disappointment to themselves, I didn't see a spot of bother anywhere.

I can see Arsenal winning it this season, they'll outscore PSG in the semis you saw how PSG 's defence crumbled the other night. In the final I'd fancy them to face Inter and they'll sneak that game 1-0 just like we did

I can see that happening too, fucking hope not though ha

Anyone but Arsenal. Won’t even watch if they’re in the final.

I’ll remain bitter until we win it at least once more.

So you’re referring to our record in the competition rather than our record against Real Madrid.

I don't think PSG were that bad the other night, they had a rocky 10 minutes after a couple of jammy deflected goals went in and the crowd got themselves going but they managed to cool it down and got back control of the game.

Think the current RM team are far more obnoxious than any PSG team :-
They all cheat by diving at every opportunity.
A few of them are thugs, obviously Rudiger leads that group.
Their captain (forget name), dived to the ground consistently.
But, the most frustrating thing about them is that Ancelloti seems to be seen as some sort of virtuous saint ?
A team reflects the manager's philosophy, with this Real Madrid team currently prepared to win at all costs...
100% Arsenal represent Captain Black to a tee

Arteta seems to have calmed down a tad, though.
Think his demeanour last night, like his team, was controlled and rarely (apart from Party with Rudiger) rattled.
Still not a fan of Arteta, as he always blames the officials...
Fair play to him , Arsenal have has a poor season in the PL but are coming good just at the right time in the CL.

Controlled because they were never under threat. Let's look at how the game went.....Madrid goal disallowed. Two bookings for the first three fouls committed by Real, soft penalty awarded to Arsenal, Real penalty overturned. Madrid shout for a penalty for a shirt pull ignored.........no wonder he was relaxed. You tell me anyone who has had such fortune in Madrid.

As to be expected lots of bitterness about Arsenal, unfortunately, at this moment in time, they are just a better side, with better players than us.
We'll be back though

Just give credit where credit is due what nonsense is that. You could say the same about our games.
