Champions League | Gameweek 6 | 12/13 Dec '23

They might have won that. They’re weren’t winning the CL this season. Also, they likely won’t finish top 4 so they won’t be in it next season either. Winning EL gets them back in and, in all likelihood, would have given England 5 teams next season.
Not with Liverpool and some of the other CL 3rd placers. Too much know how.
They're still learning how to play in Europe.
As an example, they've left it all out there tonight. What price another twatting in the league this weekend?

Had he passed it forward yeah, other guy needed to hang back and Theo needed to keep driving. Looks like he shot because he couldn't keep going.
I think so long as you are behind the line of the ball when it is played you are not offside even if your team mate knocks it forward.

Yeah I was actually going to write about 15 minutes ago that I don't know why they took Gordon off, especially if they were going to move that Livramento over to the right when they took trippier off because they had no pace to go down the left and side unless it was someone like Joelinton picking the ball up and cutting inside, but they had no real options on that side apart from doing that

Burn offers nothing going forward going forward as a left back, so they should've left Gordon infront of him.

Bit of a weird tactical move I thought and made them even more predictable
Agreed. They had Hall on the bench too who is a midfielder/left back, so he would have made more sense than Burn too.

Top 2 counties in coefficient get 5 spots currently England, Spain, Italy with England 16k more.
So, a lot to make up
I don’t think England are top. It’s all based on this season and we’re at a disadvantage because of the number of teams we’ve got in it, so every win is worth less. Also, rags and barcodes are both now finished but any points are still divided by 8. Think English teams will need to go very deep in all the comps and win most of the two legged games as well.

No more games until March, with a transfer window beforehand, I think they’d have had half a chance.

They hype that myth all the time. If crowds were such a big influence and theirs was so great they'd have been more successful over the years.
The loudest roar I ever heard was when Phillips scored for Sunderland at the new stadium in 1998 I think. We lost 3 1 and I think Kinky scored. They were excited by the first game in the stadium.
