Lasogga put Hamburg up 1-0 after 11 min over Gladbach. The hosts have most of the ball right now, trying to get an equalizer but looking fairly uncreative. Decent service from a Thorgan Hazard free kick but the Hamburg keeper gathers the header.

Just seen its 2-0 to Hamburg, who were terrible when I watched them last year, have Mochengladbach really regressed that much?

Yeah Hamburg looked truly hapless last year, barely scraped through their relegation/promotion playoff, but they have been more organized at the least so far. Gladbach seem in total disarray, long may it continue!!!

According to Ferninand City are 'not equipped' to get out of the group so perhaps he's the person to ask......

Hasn't this happened a few times on the continent, teams getting into the Champs League and struggling badly the season after?
