I'd not be too unhappy with that draw, on the other hand Bayern, Atletico and Napoli would have me very worried!

There is a fair chance we will move up to pot 2, Valencia will struggle to qualify and a few are still fighting it out for the last spots in their leagues Schalke, Milan, Lyon and one of Arsenal or Chelsea could easily miss out. Plus there will be teams ahead of us who have to play a play off.

Real Sociedad (San Sebastián in the Basque Country) would be a great trip. They beat Valencia 4-2 last night and look favourites to get the 4th Spanish slot. They'd have to get through an eliminatory round before getting into the group stages, though.

If not, and being completely selfish as far as easy trips are concerned, anywhere in Spain or Portugal would be ok for me. We haven't beaten Barcelona for a few years! Atlético Madrid would also be good, as would be a return trip to Porto.

It's possible...but worst case for City is that 1 or 2 of the teams you mention fail to make it...and this moves PSG + Juve up to Pot 2, but we are stuck in Pot 3.
Being in same Pot as PSG + Juventus is more important than which pot that is.

It's possible...but worst case for City is that 1 or 2 of the teams you mention fail to make it...and this moves PSG + Juve up to Pot 2, but we are stuck in Pot 3.
Being in same Pot as PSG + Juventus is more important than which pot that is.

I agree unfortunately I think PSG are certain of being in pot 2 - as Valencia will drop out and Juventus are most likely to be in pot 2 also as one of Schalke, Milan, Lyon, Arsenal or Chelsea could /will miss out.

its a joke that england best team last season was not in pot 1 and thats why we will still struggle to get out of the groups again and his nothing to do with the manager in my book mancini did great for man city and this season group was the hardest group in uefa and utd would not of got out of in

pot 3 what a joke for manchester city and england
uefa cook up the groups seeds and with 8 teams in each group and 3 teams from engand in pot 1 means manchester city will get 1 of the big 5 that are in that pot

like i said we will struggle again next season with or without mancini as manager
and why sack him away knowing that

Our pot though has nothing to do with where we finish in the domestic league

Just hope Benfica are in pot 1 if we are in pot 3. If we get them and one of the elite teams like Barca I can see us struggling again as they have a knack for doing well against English opposition.

5 year rule I think is fair, it's up to us break out of this cycle.

Very good group on paper, but I don't think Valencia will qualify. Real Sociedad are now 5 points ahead of them if I'm not mistaken. Wouldn't mind drawing them in the group if they get through the qualifications.
