ut I bet we paid more than £99 for all 3 - Madrid,Dortmund and Ajax...
True they are superior opposition but still champions league 3 home games are good value at £99...

My Wigan money has come out and I'm not even going... I guess I've joined the scheme for later rounds and a Wembley ticket if needs be!

I've just got home to a wife going ballistic. City have taken £238 on 2 Sep re me and my boys seasoncard instalment, then £40 for our Wigan tix on 6 Sep and now £98 today. Our account has been wiped out. So £376 in a week to City when we can ill afford it is how she sees it. I suppose this is my tipping point when modern football takes another victim. I'm just about to cancel our cup schemes now before any permanent damage to this family unit is made. I never thought this day would come. Depressed now.

Danny I sympathise with you but did you not explain to the Mrs what happens on the schemes???? And with the installment process??
Don't ever let football break your family mate.
stay in them cos it will cost you a lot more when we are in the semis and finals... and you are guaranteed a ticket before non cup-schemers, BECAUSE YOU KNOW YOU AND THE SONS WILL WANT TO GO!!!

Yeah, I know all this and she knows the score with the instalment plan and cup scheme procedure. From her point of view, she had just seen £376 come out of the bank and going to City, leaving nothing in there and quite a while to our paydays. A bit stupid perhaps, but the timing just wasn't right and it has put a real strain on general living. I just had to cancel. I'll be one of those moaning at the business end of the season now with nigh on 12k points but bypassed for tickets by cup schemers with a lot less!

You mean combined I see, it isn't for under 16s: £35 (£15, £10 & £10) but the adult prices would have been £100 (£40 , £30 & £30) if on cup scheme.

Therefore for an adult and junior you end up £9 worse off. Not much per ticket, but after the poor displays in this competition in the last two years some may be put off.

Good Value!!! You lot must be loaded or plain stupid!! I've had my season ticket for over 15 years now so I've been milked good and proper over the years infact I'm all outta milk!

I've paid £585 for a platinum season card in south stand lower and I've opted in all cup competitions except champs league so that's a saving of £99 for the initial group stage and prob £40+ for knock out stages (if we get there). so in all competitions you could be looking at £850-£900 for the season!!

I earn a modest £1200 after tax at work pay out £750 mortgage and bills! After food shopping I'm lucky to do anything never mind pay a one off £99 I'm afraid the club is no longer affordable for the average working man like me!! This season could be my last. (Might go live in Germany and pay £15 for ticket and rail travel to follow Dortmund lol!!
listen, nobody gives a shit how much you earn, its personal information not for the internet. £99 for 3 Champions league games is fantastic value, if you don't think so & yearn for the days of the 3rd division & a tenner to get in then I would suggest that the modern City that wins things & is competing against the best clubs in world ,is not for you. Maybe you should join all the other pathetic morons who have been "priced out".
Absolute tossers some of our so-called fans, don't deserve the club.

Well said. I don't think some 'fans' live in the real world. They want world class football at conference prices. Maybe they should try Stockport

-- Tue Sep 10, 2013 8:29 pm --

I sympathise mate but City have to take the money before the games are played!! They are not responsible for the programme/timing of games. I don't know what more they could have done - or how they could have done it any differently. Maybe they shouldn't have offered the deferred season ticket payment but then you possibly would not have been able to afford one as you would have had to pay up front? Not many clubs (if any) offer interest free instalments

Don't blame City. Just can't afford it.

Fuck yes! I just can't quite afford the trip and have had to sacrifice it for later rounds. I also have to take annual leave to attend midweek and Champions League is taking priority.
