Probably Lpool will finish group second place and get Club Brugge at the draw. Luckiest team in the world.

Hopefully we get the dippers somewhere along the way if we could manage to eliminate them it would be better than winning the damn thing.
Jesus wept. So you'd rather knock out Liverpool than actually win the one major trophy that still eludes us?

Some of our fans hate other teams more than they love City.

If Tottenham win their group, Liverpool can only get Munich, Madrid, psg/benfica, club brugge/Porto. Given that Munich can't play dortmund, leipzig, inter or possibly frankfurt, it's a good chance it'll be them

But if we won it, it would mean some team would have to eliminate them along the way, preferably us in the final.

The teams we can face are:

Inter Milan
Club Brugge/Porto
Ac Milan/Salzburg
Winner of shakhtar vs Leipzig
Benfica/PSG

Tottenham group is still wide open so anyone from there.

The probability is that psg will finish 2nd if they don't win in Turin. They're probably the only team we'd want to avoid
So we just need to add sporting Lisbon, Marseille and Frankfurt as possibles and that's it ,and the away leg will be one of the 2 February weeks I think .as group winners play home second

Real Madrid are only a point ahead. If they finish second, then that's the toughest tie possible. If both Real and PSG top the groups, we already have one foot in the quarter-finals.

Off those 12 teams that have qualified, 11 are from the 6 top nations in Europe.

There are 5 chamions. 3 runners-up, 2 third placed teams, and Benfica who were in a two legged play-off to qualify for the league stages.

The exception is Brugge (Belgium Champions) from the 12th best nation.

The 11 from the top leagues will increase to 13 when Group D gets decided.

So a guaranteed 13 out of 16 from the top six leagues, if Milan from group E and Leipzig from group F qualify then it will be 15 teams from the top 6 leagues.

The "competition" is just a money making racket.

Isn't that what you'd expect, not sure what your point is ?
