Saw that. What was even more amusing was the commentary... something along the lines of "champions league more like Sunday league"

Here's a poser.

Arse, Dortmund and Napoli are all on 6 pts (as it stands). Each has beaten (is beating) one and lost (is losing) to the other in their head-to-heads. What should the order be?

I assume goal difference till the full head to head's are established in the reverse fixtures.
OK. Just asking. BBC showing Arse top (+2), Napoli second (+3).

Doesn't matter till the end though.
Well, now showing Dortmund second (+3).
(Mind you, I've twice seen a table with two Basels and no Chelsea!)

You have all lost me. But anyway, this has been just about the first time that Arsenal haven't ended up in the pub team group. They never stopped lecturing us about how we don't have the know how to get out of the group stages whilst simultaneously congratulating themselves for getting through the Group of Pub Teams. Hasn't quite panned out for them this season, eh?

Don't know why but this pisses me off more than anything.

Results:

Arsenal 2-0 Napoli
Arsenal 1-2 Dortmund
Napoli 2-1 Dortmund

So the mini-league is:

Arsenal P2 W1 D0 L1 GS3 GA2 GD +1
Dortmund P2 W1 D0 L1 GS 3 GA3 GD 0
Napoli P2 W1 D0 L1 GS2 GA3 GD -1

Decent (sorry, ''deeeecent'') result for Celtic tonight, beating Ajax 2-1. They could have done with Barca winning in Milan though, to keep them in the hunt for second spot in the group. I think the best they can hope for is thursday night football in the new year.

Watched the Arsenal game, but not surprised to see Schalke lose to Chelsea. They lack organisation and despite having a very good team on paper they lack ambition. They need to get a top class manager. Still I expect them to qualify and make the 2nd round again.

Arsenal were nervous and not great today, but Dortmund were very poor. They are clearly missing Gundogan and Gotze. Mkhiktaryan lacks the creativity they need. Hoffman is a good prospect, but they need to splash out on a big player. They will probably go for Kagawa, but they really need another big signing.

Arsenal did not really create anything and was a miscommunication which led to the goal. It's these kind of games that they could use Walcott to run in behind.

Anyway Arsenal are in real trouble. If Gundogan is back and with there very hard fixture list, a real chance they lose to Dortmund away. Which means they will probably need to go and get a result in Naples.

Re: Arsenal Thread 2013/14

I said Arsenal would get beat by Dortmund.

What happened there is that Dortmund have that extra bit of class that you dont find in many sides in the prem.

That little bit of ruthless quality. The type that punishes you and doesn't let you off the hook like the prem often does.

Arsenal hadn't played anyone yet and tonight shows they aren't as amazing as the press / media have been making out.

And little world class Ramsey was 100% at fault for the 1st goal. A question of believing his own hype and thinking he could take liberties in a danger zone.

Lets see what Arsenal are saying at the end of November.
