• Napoli have had their start to the season delayed after a break-down in negotiations between Serie A and the players so their only competitive fixture before facing us will be against Cesena, they were previously beaten 5-0 in pre-season against Barcelona.

To be fair, they had 9 players behind the ball the whole time. A little difficult to show off when you're playing away and against a disciplined defense. We won two penalties and Gomez got a third strike for the hat-trick. Müller was MotM.

To answer your question Blue Haze, it's a little early to tell. Our defense is definitely better than what it was in 2010. We'll just have to see how things mold together.

Over the summer Villarreal have brought in a couple players but have lost Santi Cazorla and Capdevila to Malaga and Benfica respectively. Napoli also signed Pandev on loan today (I don't rate him at all).

-- Mon Aug 29, 2011 10:49 am --

Villarreal-Barcelona today!
