no mate, i'm classing the ones who go and buy memberships as soon as its decided who we're playing, it has happened the past 2 times we played Real
Ok fair enough. I just find it a bit galling on here when some seem to divide our supporters into either being season ticket holder or “tourists” when there are tens of thousands of us who are neither.

When season ticket holders don’t go, I’d say it’s Citizens like me who buy up the lions share of those tickets (at inflated prices), rather than “tourists”, however they are classed.

for me the club need to go back and reward the loyalty of Citizen members and let the ones who have attended the most previous games the 1st dibs then keep moving it down , so fans who attend likes of Fulham & Southampton are not shafted when it comes to someone who hasn't attended at all but suddenly feel they fancy Bayern or Real, you are correct regarding the pricing for Citizen members they are ridiculous

So the 2 defenders can be added to a b list. Leaving us 3 players added to the a list.

Clubs can register an unlimited number of players on their Champions League B list during the season. However, the list must be submitted by the day before a match.

Explanation
  • Clubs can register up to 25 players on their A list.

  • Clubs can register a maximum of three new players to their A list after the league phase and before the knockout phase.

  • The B list can include an unlimited number of players, but they must be born on or after January 1, 2003.

Not correct. New signings can not go on the B list as they need to have previously been registered with the club for 2 years.

Agree with this. Can't complain about people being priced out and then complain the old fella next to you hasn't come and his seat is filled by a young family who only come once a season (as was my case last night). And I also think the club will represent what the city looks like, which is a multicultural city full of people from around the world and second and third generation immigrants. All welcome, in my opinion.

We're still in and whoever we face is a bonus.
I'm sure we'll be stronger by then too.
As much as we aren’t fans of playing Real Madrid or Bayern, imagine what they are thinking. Finished right outside the top 8 and maybe have to play us in the playoff. I’m sure they are thrilled about that. Plus we have new signings and that formation against Chelsea looks real nice against a Bayern especially.

Can anyone remember how long it usually takes after the draw to confirm the date of the games? Away leg will be 18th or 19th but I wanna be straight on booking flights as soon as the date is confirmed

Draw is 11am tomorrow, can’t remember from last year whether it was a few hours after the draw or the next day or whatever

Cheers

Not read the full thread so what time is the draw, and when do we reckon the date for the home leg will be known? I know it's 11th or 12th Feb.

The dates for last season's round of 16 were confirmed on the day of the draw itself (the draw was at 11am and someone said they had booked their flights and posted a copy of the confirmed dates at around 3:40-45pm)

This is from the club's OS confirming the dates, published at 3:30pm

I assume the dates for this year will be confirmed within a similar timeframe.

I've been looking at flights etc today trying to be fastest finger tomorrow straight after drawer.
Madrid seems okay if you go via Alicante or Ibiza etc but Munich seems pricey it must be half term at school

Can people stop looking up flights before the draw has happened - both routes have gone up at least £50 since yesterday and even then it was pricey even despite half term. One of the great airline scams even your own searches will push it up gradually unless you’re clever as everyone knows

I’m aware I’m at fault also

Fail to prepare, prepare to fail.

It is presumably to prevent ‘tactical’ match fixing in the final round of fixtures. That could apply where team playing could have a vested interest in drawing rather than winning their final group match.
There looked a bit of that going on the final 15 last night when we stopped playing forward and Bruges stopped pressing
