Champions League Pots

Worth keeping an eye out for the remaining playoff games as Pot 4, amongst others, is largely undetermined as yet (predominantly Champions Route). Not suggesting they are tricky fixtures for us, though one never does know..If anything, potentially fascinating ties to contemplate..

I sense the teams in pot 1, pot2 and pot 4 will all want to not be paired with us.

Let everyone worry about us. Since after the FA Cup semi this team as found belief. We will give anyone a hell of a game. We have a great chance.

Making it through the group stage should get us up around the 60 mark as we "lose" a season when we weren't in Europe and only got minimal points.

This is good news then as we should hopefully move up into pot 2 in future seasons. Although I genuinely don't fear any teams apart from Barca and Real it'd be good to avoid the harder teams to a little later on as it'd be lessing draining on the squad both physically and mentally.
 
Re 2012/13 To get to Pot 2 we'd need to get nearly 70 points.

If we matched Spurs 24 points from last season we'd still probably
be outside top 16, i.e. first 2 pots.

How bizarre though that we got 20 points in 08/09

Looking further ahead to 2013/14 a couple of seasons of 20+ points
would see us over 80 points and possible top 8 ranking.
 
The draw for the group stages will be on the 25th August at 11'0 clock if all goses well. Just hope we avoid the top teams from Spain and Italy.

I don't think Barcelona give a shit who they play! Us included!
 
Is anyone else not bothered about the results this season? I'm just going to enjoy the players, atmosphere and occasion of actually being at a Wednesday night European game. I never thought these days would come, I'm not going to be disappointed even if we lose all games.

For that reason, I REALLY hope we get Barca/Real, AC and Dortmund. Absolute dream.
 
NO ONE will want to draw us :) As far as I'm concerned, if manure can get the CL final 3 times in the last 4 years then we can too.
Think only Barca are better than us, I think we have a good chance vs Real/Manure/AC milan.
