Champions League Reallocation

When we were in the East Stand in what is now Joe's stand we were originally shifted to level 1 but ended up relocating to level 3 for a Barca game, we could see people in our seats, they had City scarves on so I'm assuming they were obtained via a corporate route .

If anyone is being relocated get on the phone to swap asap or you could end up with shite seats. I think anyone on the Cup scheme should get priority over non cup scheme season ticket holders but they don't, my mate who doesn't do Uefa games sat with us in 231 can get his seat on Monday but those next door in 230 will probably end up in Level 1.

The weird thing is people in 209 which is part of 93:20 have been moved into the block to our right, 207 which is nearer to the half way line.

Does this happen to anyone else? My wife and I get moved from our seats for Champions League games, for the "media" we're told, but more often than not no one is sitting in them, and when they are occupied if the people in them are media then I'm Elvis.

Check your e-mail, I'm in 303 and have been relocated to 302, so I'll have 2 blocks of dippers next to me, wonderful! Has anyone explained the security issues of this crazy arrangement to UEFA??

They will get around to it. They are discussing and more concerned at the moment with bigger security issues....cats invading the pitch.

It happens to everybody in certain areas.
The clubs have to provide a certain number of good seats (UEFA determine the definition of "good") to the visiting team, UEFA and the media. However UEFA and the media don't have to declare whether they will be using those seats until a few days before the game.
City say they don't want to piss people about by moving them and then moving them back again, so you keep the new seat you've been allocated whether there's anybody in your normal seat or not. Also City want to sell your normal seat if UEFA don't want to delay the sale while you decide whether you want to move back. The other point is that you say you and your wife are moved. It's certainly feasible that your normal ticket might be used by UEFA but your wife's isn't meaning she could move back but you couldn't.
I'm not sure how else the club could operate in these circumstances.
I anticipate something along the lines of the Celtic debacle but with slightly fewer Dippers in the home sections.
As an aside I don't recall seeing the City fans in top class seats at any of the CL away games I've attended. Will be interesting to see what we get at Anfield.

Fight club

:-)

All joking aside, given our recent punishment by the FArce and Mr Gill’s connections in both that camp and UEFA, I wouldn’t want to give them any reason to sanction us in the UCL.

If it transpires that liverpool fans are in with any home supporters then they should be removed by the stewards to ensure there isn’t any trouble.
