The handling of this whole sorry episode has been appalling. No consultation and answers provided to the fans.
Who made the decision to move that particular area of the ground and blame it on Uefa.
Giving the club an out with the "damned if they do" rubbish is crap mate.
My point is proved by the fact just 18000 people registered for the champs lg cup scheme as it patently was not made clear enough what the consequences would be if they did not. i remain sorry for the guys whose tickets i have been allocated for that reason. Had all 36000 season ticket holders exercised their right to join the scheme, i and all of blocks 204 and 206 would be relocated to 7000ish seats left over. Now how can it be that i pay the most in the ground for my season ticket as i have done for donkeys years and then get moved to the worst seats away from my mates and fans i have known for years.
The main point i am making is that no one is questioning the club on this.
Take AS Monaco for example. Capacity 18000. Are you trying to tell me that Uefa demand 1500 - 2000 prime tickets ( they demand more the further you progress ) off them with their high roller fans.
Its the same every time you see champs lg on tv, English clubs abide by the front two rows not being sold rule, but foreign teams ( especially Turkey ) tell them to sod off.
Answers need providing and my " split in our support " comment stands. Just look at most threads on here.

I'm in the cup scheme and in the past have been moved. UEFA request a number of tickets off City and they ask for prime seats. Thus why some of the people in the highest priced seats are moved. I agree that they should have given more advance warning. To say its City and they are just using Uefa as an excuse is ridiculous. I'll give you another example of what Uefa asked for and got, just to show its not only things affecting fans. They told City that the press room would be too small for any big european games, so to make the press room bigger and provide better facilities. Guess what City have trebled its size and provided better facilities. Some fans seemingly just want to blame the club.
Some fans just want the questions to be answered by the Club, is that fair comment seeing how its the only part of my post you want to relate to ?

I replyed to the bit i disagreed with. Whats the point of me commenting on the bits i agree with? What exact questions do you want answering?

Oh ffs. You mean you just want to rant. Either spell out the questions you want answering or stop moaning. It's getting boring now.

I get your point PB.
Why don't you take the chance to sit around the stadium,I did it last season and had a great time.
I might even get to level three this time.

Had the club made it clear in the renewal package that if you weren't in the various cup schemes that you wouldn't be entitled to purchase your own seat then i would probably have entered the Euro scheme on top of the league and F.A. Cup ones which i did join, I work away a fair bit of the time and if we're drawn at home in league cup £15 if i can't make it not the end of the world F.As at weekend so no problem. But euros dopey me reading on here where champs league was going to be min £40 to £50 a game thought i ain't chucking that away to not see game, knowing full well my 30 year plus season ticket would allow me to buy my seat if i was working local(as it has for the last 30 year) fortunately my seat was still available for the Naples game so still get to sit with same people i've know for years. Whats a bit of a pisser is I made every cup game home and away last season domestic ones anyway and a couple of Euro aways just wondering if all the johnny come latelys on cup scheme can say the same only most games last season ground seemed half empty

I agree with the gist of these sentiments.

As "new boys" in the CL + wanting to keep on the right side of UEFA for various reasons (Inc FFP) , I get the feeling City have bent over backwards to give the UEFA inspection team everything they asked for...with a cherry on top.

The fact that the ticket office is evasive about the blocks + numbers of supporters affected...only adds to the suspicion that this has been badly handled.

I would have preferred it if the club had simply said : everyone in blocks X,Y + Z has to move - please contact the ticket office to secure alternative seating for all remaining CL games.

At a minimum, they should learn from the negative feedback they are getting + e-mail the next batch of fans affected at the earliest opportunity (i.e. the moment we have qualified for the knockout stages) to warn them that they won't be able to access their seat for the remainder of city's CL campaign because of increased UEFA demand for tickets.

City's desire to play in the Champions League has been a well publicised objective for the last 2 years...but it seems that someone in the ticket office only woke up to some of the implications a couple of weeks ago.
Those fans saying City are caught in a no-win situation are missing the point...
I don't pay a premium price for the most expensive season ticket at a top premier league club + expect to receive a customer experience shambles that is more appropriate to a non-league outfit.

A few things i would like the club to answer, firstly how many season ticket holders are being moved due to UEFA instructions, and how many are being moved to make way for corporate sales.

I would also like to know if there are plans to increase the number of corporate seats in the stadium, and if they are currently occupied by season ticket holders where do they intend re-seating the present occupiers ?

I say this as a season ticket holder for the best parts of the last 40 years, who like many others started in the kippax and has worked my way around the ground and know found myself with a great seat, which i can not use for the Champions League and fear with are continued success and increasing popularity that i may well find myself shunted off to some far corner of the ground on a permanent basis. At that stage i may find myself supporting City FC !!!

Why are we covering old ground ??
This same topic was on a previous thread some 7-10 days ago,so please some of you DID know in advance and have subsequently left it too late.
I went to the ground this morning and asked if my normal seats were still available for this game.
I was given a receipt confirming my Seat Number and upon my return from Manchester, had an e-mail from the Club confirming my purchase, again with the seat numbers.
I was told to print it off and bring it with me on the night of the game to confirm.
No problems for me and I was aware that I only had until the end of the day to purchase or I could lose my ST seat.
My problem not the Club if I can`t be arsed reading the OS where they give detailed info. ref ticket sales !!
However, I do understand that human errors cannot be helped.

What are you going on about?
Have you read this thread ????
Just because you aren't affected, there is no need to get all smug with your "I'm alright Jack attitude".

This thread is not about fans "leaving it too late" or "not reading the OS" but about the way in which City have handled re-locations in a part of the ground not normally affected by Cup re-locations.

There has been a distinct lack of courtesy + professionalism in the way that people have found out they can't access their regular seat.
In my case, an e-mail over the summer highlighting the issue would have been sufficient (even if I had already signed up for the CL cup scheme by then).

Likewise, for other fans...the implication that they might get "bumped" of their seats if they didn't sign up for CL scheme...might have made them reconsider the pros + cons etc.

Look, this is part of a learning curve for City (+ the fans) about some of the logistical complications that come with being in corporate dominated competitions such as the CL.

We will all be better informed for next year(hopefully)...but that does not excuse a lack of courtesy in the way that they are treating supporters who are forking out for some of the most expensive season tickets in the stadium.

BWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Cry me a fucking river !!
And if you read my posts I stated that I could understand peoples frustration,if they couldn`t get their "ST Seat",but have they EVER been guaranteed, for other matches outside of the PL ??
Always some other fuckers fault and never the supporter, when things go tits up.
How long have we known about being moved ?? Well as I`ve said before, this same subject was brought up on another similar thread some 7-10 days ago, when another Supporter warned us.
I`m not being smug at all,as I know this is the only CL game I can attend out of the 3 games, due to my financial situation. However I ensured that I knew well in advance how and when to hopefully get my ticket for my regular ST Seat.
Yes I read the OS on ticket information.Thought thats where and why iot was initiated,to help and raise awareness to Supporters.
Seeing that we`ve waited for this moment for years playing in the CL,does it really concern you that much where you sit ??
I`d have taken a fucking seat anywhere in the ground, just to be at this game.

And how exactly did you secure your regular season ticket seat..despite you saying you read the facts on this forum and the OS, i still don't think you grasped the facts, you were not in the cup scheme so it would have been impossible to secure you usual seat !! You may have been fortunate enough to be able to buy it, but only if someone in the Cup scheme chose not to buy it.. I didn't realise i had to read every bluemoon thread to keep informed of changes in ticketing policy..
