I don't want Liverpool anywhere near the Final ... not that I'm worried if we are too and they might beat us, no, we'd probably beat them still ... but what pisses me off to this date is how the media in UK has built this whole narrative of them being successful over three years ... when first year of what the count as THREE was just reaching the CL final and losing. That was OUR Centurion Season but somehow is credited to them for a run of great three years consistency at the top. They were TWENTY FIVE points behind us that season but last season specially when the whole talk was they are the best team ever in Premier League BECAUSE of their THREE years continuous success. So for them even reaching the Final and losing is somehow turned into better than us being Centurion that very season (and there was a League cup for us too btw) so our two trophies were somehow less than that lot just reaching a European Final.

So should they God forbid reach another final, they'd just go about FOUR years of success and that best team of the century or whatever narrative will go on ... ignoring our ANOTHER domestic treble or maybe even a quad.

If we beat the dippers in the final as part of a treble or a quad their achievements of 4 euro finals in a row would be praised as wonderful despite their ' injury crisis'.
They may even get UEFA to get them a special trophy as most deserved runners up
 
The biggest obstacles to our progress in this competition have not been the opposition, but 1) refs, 2) Pep and 3) top players having off-days (Sterling, Laporte, Aguero)
 
Toughest draw possible please , we did fine against Real Madrid last season and we have nothing to fear , its the unfancied clubs we struggle against like Lyon,Spuds,Monaco ,and teams like Porto,Dippers and Chelski who are nowhere near our standard have a tendency to fluke games , change of tactics , ref decisions , VAR or we miss penalties , we always apppear to fuck it up.
Give me Bayern , PSG or Madrid , beat the best to win the best.

This is how I feel.

Beat the so called best to win it and it's one less stick to be beaten with.
