Neville is spot on about Bayern under Heynckes, at the moment they have no plan B.

Far better team last season imo. Shame they hired Pep imo, last season Bayern were the pinnacle of football, this season Pep has turned them into a boring, Barca-esque team that is easier to beat.

I admit to not watching Bayern a lot but what does Gotze actually do? I've never seen him do anything of note. Certainly not enough to justify his reputation

Yep I agree I also think Pep is highly overrated and don't want him at City.

I hate to say this and I know I'll get some stick but Pepe style is just boring at times. There seems no real penetration at times with more reverse passes than a rugby league match. Why not just hit the byline and put it across before next winter arrives.

I also wonder if the likes of Kun would be complete waste of time under Pepe, which worries me should he ever coach us.

Hopefully someone can ease my worries.

He'd use Kun in the Messi role and Messi flourished under Pep. Bayern don't seem to have his equivalent right now.

I'm pretty sure Messi would flourish under any manager in any attacking position.

It's like giving AVB credit for Bale being so good.

If you can't recognise Pep's impact on Messi's progression as a footballer in the 'false 9' role, then there's nothing I can say.
