In Fenerbahces case, I think they are claiming the president and directors knew nothing about it and it was instigated by some players so they should be banned not the club.

that`s crazy...... milan like arsenal have been going through the back door route for at least 2-3 years. once they qualify they jump up back into the pot order. i know we were bad the last two years in CL (not having a pop- ) but this pot-ranking lark is a joke just like fifa/uefa.

If Arsenal loose they're out. If Fenerbace get thrown out in court, another turkish club takes their place, not Arsenal.

Why should UEFA's seeding be solely based on domestic results and ignore the results in their own competition? That's nonsense too. The seeding, is far from perfect and 5 years might be too long as the decisive period. But just as an example, if one team does brilliantly for years in the europa league and then manages to qualify for the CL group, they deserve that the past results count for something in comparison to teams who play reserve teams in the EL games and go out early because of that.
