Thinking of coming up for this. Didn’t go last year can anyone tell me best time to arrive and where to stand? Presume main stage if get there early enough and be near the front?

Get as close as you can to the stage, don't bother with the parade but, though there will be big screens further back, and you'll see the parade anyway, been to the 2012, 2014 and 2018 versions, and they have been brilliant, make a night of it and enjoy.

I can concur with this. In 2012 I took my then young son and spent most of the evening chasing a bus round Manchester.
Never a fucking gain ;-)

It was a bit different then, as they did the celebration first, then the parade, we went to the celebration, then went for a drink, and met it again near the end of the bus route, its far better this way round, plus the players are pissed at the parade, which is so much more fun.
