Championship thread 2024/25

Late winner for the Owls at Derby. @West Yorks Owl will be a happy bunny this evening.
Derby never mind pride park is a place we just don't win at, apparently before today we've won there twice in the last 59 years, with our last win being in 2006.

For an hour there was only 1 team in it and it wasn't us, Beadle (on loan from BHA) saved it from being 2-0 and then we equalised and made a game of it, where it could have gone either way and luckily it went for us.

Can't beat a late winner if it's for your team :)

Apparently stat wise Boro create the most chances in the Championship, if they could cut out the silly losses they'd be a team I wouldn't want to face come judgement day.

Burnley are very precise, as in do what they have to. As a team who's just come down they have the luxury of parachute payments and a good squad.

Best team I've seen this season is Leeds, we never got a sniff against them. Whereas Vs Burnley we had chances, the difference is we changed our set up against both teams.

Leeds problem is the manager, a lot of their fans don't like him as he's very regimentral and doesn't change to suit the game. Subs in the 70th minute, chuck on loads of forwards etc. Basically hoping enough shit sticks.

I wouldn't swap Rohl for Farke especially with the squads at their disposal. One is over achieving and one is uncer achieving.

We were awful today, but somehow managed to salvage a point (and miss a penalty)

PNE could and should have been 0-3 up ay HT, only some excellent saves from our on loan keeper James Beadle kept it to 0-1.

Faired slightly better in the 2nd half, missed a pen then equalised with 15 to go, but again PNE had a great chance just after HT that looked harder to miss.

If that was us away from home and only managed a point I'd be livid.

Blackburn at Home on Tuesday night.
