Does anybody Know if a player playing in the champs league at the moment, Is cup tied for the Uefa cup. Anelka wasn't last season when he moved from bolto to chelsea, but ive been told you are if you move the other way round. How can this be?

Isn;t it because Champions League clubs can playin the Uefa Cup in the same season?

Why though if Yaya toure turned up he hasn't played in it and now won't now with Barca. Isn't that just helping all the big teams keep their players in Jan.

As far as I'm aware, anyone who plays in the Champions League could still play for us in the UEFA Cup, but obviously players who have already represented another team in the UEFA Cup would be cup tied. For example, Carlos Cuellar played in the Champions League Qualifiers with Rangers and then moved to Aston Villa and is playing for them in the UEFA Cup, whereas Vedran Corluka hasn't been able to play for Tottenham in the UEFA Cup, because he'd already played for us against Streymur and Midtjylland. So I guess if we were to sign Kaka or Villa, they couldn't play, but anyone who has played in the Champions League (Eto'o or whoever we're supposedly signing) would be fine. So Bridge can play for us in the UEFA Cup if anyone was wondering. Although, has he even played for Chelsea in the Champions League this year?!
