This is not a hughes in or out thread, so please no arguing about that. This thread is here is to dispell the Myth that we are a basket case club that changes manager every single year. To be honest with you it pisses me of no end when that shit is spouted by the Media and our own fans that have been brain washed by those cunts.

Mark Hughes 4 June 2008 / present day,
Sven Goran Erikson 6 July 2007 / 2 June 2008,
Stewart Pearce 21 March 2005 / 14 May 2007,
Kevin Keegan 24 March 2001 / 11 March 2005,
Joe Royal 18 Febuary 1998 / 21 May 2001,

Now the only reason i'm making this post is because i got into a little arguement with a fellow blue IRL the other day. As he was absouloutly posative becuase he read it in the papers that we change our manager near enough every single year which clearly isn't the case. Infact he even went as far as to say that Keegan at most got 2 years and Pearce wasn't even at the club a year as manager.

Just look at that list, Joe Royal was manager for over 3 years and got the sack because we got relegated. Come on be honest now how many managers keep there jobs after getting there team relegated from the prem

Kevin Keegan, did nearly 4 years and we didnt even sack him he went into his usual melt down and put himself into retierment.

Stewart Pearce got the sack after just over 2 years, because our new billionaire owner wanted his own man in.

Sven Goran Erikson was treated like shit as far as i'm concerned by our owner, and a section of our fans that would blame him if the world stop turning. We should of never got rid IMO and out of that entire decade he was the only manager that never got a fair crack of the whip as far as i'm concerned.

Behave mate, we've had fucking loads. Far too many and none of them have been given the time to do the job as we always let the rag media force them out.

So should we have kept Royal after he got us relegated ?. What should we of done about keegan ?, how do you stop him from retiering?. Also would you of liked Mad Frank to of left Pearce in charge ?.

None of the managers we sacked after one season (or less) went on to be successful. We more or less made the right decision sacking them as they've been generally been awful anyway.

I always laugh when people say we shouldnt of sacked Reid, he did well at Sunderland didn't he?

20 years and 15 shit managers and that's a fact.

Ive been thinking about this for a while now and i think i might have cracked this one, bare with me, are you ready....

Maybe we have had so many managers, not because we are masochists hell bet on destruction, maybe, just maybe its because the vast majority of them have been utter shite!

Years of having no money has meant that we have been unable to appoint the Best in the business and we have just had to make do.

Making do normally results in a complete lack of success, which, yes you've guessed it, normaly means the sacking of said manager!

When are people going to realise that the sooner we bring in a top quality manager, yes we can afford to do it now, the results will improve, which will in turn, more than probably mean starting to win things, which will then mean NOT having to sack the manager every 2 minutes, which will then result in the STABILITY that has become the buzz word of late on here!

Rocket science? I dont think so.

Since 1980 we have had over 20 managers(and im excluding a few caretaker posts)......thats an average of less than 2 yrs each. (think its 1.5 yrs each but me maths aint great).
So ok your right we dont change every year. Wouldnt go shouting it from the rooftops though mate !
