Changing manager every year is a myth.

5 in the last 10 years is still 4 too many.

Its actually 4 managers in the space of 10 years, Hughes came in at the begining of the 11th year.

So again i'll ask the questions should we of kept Royal after getting us religated ?.

What could we of done to keep keegan ?.

Would you of kept Pearce on after the Mad Thai took over ?.

BTW heres the most important question, out of all the Premiership clubs excluding United and Arsenal can you think of a club thats had a manager a decader or longer ?.

Keegan was in charge for too long, he bought to many has-been's that let him down big style. He got an awful lot of cash that nearly bankrupted us.

Since 1980 we have had over 20 managers(and im excluding a few caretaker posts)......thats an average of less than 2 yrs each. (think its 1.5 yrs each but me maths aint great).
So ok your right we dont change every year. Wouldnt go shouting it from the rooftops though mate !

Look at the last decade Royal had 3 years and got sacked after getting us religated, Keegan had 4 years and went nuts then retiered, Even Pearce managed 2 and he was nothing really more than a stop gap. Were not as bad a club as the media and some of our fans try to make out.

Behave mate, we've had fucking loads. Far too many and none of them have been given the time to do the job as we always let the rag media force them out.

So should we have kept Royal after he got us relegated ?. What should we of done about keegan ?, how do you stop him from retiering?. Also would you of liked Mad Frank to of left Pearce in charge ?.
Who's this "Royal" fella you keep mentioning?

Chelsea's had 5 managers in the past 5 years. Not done them any harm!

Having one of the best squads in the world hasn't done them any harm either.

Without knowing everything that went on behind the scenes - yes. Royle (not Royal) was a very good manager in the second tier, the Prem had moved on too much for him to survive at the top level though.

What could we of done to keep keegan ?.
Nothing, he was finished

Appointed too soon. He could still be a decent manager but a relative novice was always doomed at City.

Everton are heading that way, Allardyce could have stayed on at Bolton, but of course it depends on hiring the right man in the first place, sticking with him when things aren't going well and having a bit of luck along the way.

So in other words you can't name one.

I'm not having a go at you or out its just pisses me of no end the way we're portrayed in the media and the way they quote the statistics out of context. We're not a basket case club like we're made out to be, changing managers all the time for no bleeding reason. We had a couple of really really bad years, other than that we're very similar to most other clubs in how long we keep our managers. Christ is anything Arsenal and the Rags are the odd ones out.

Correct. It's fun to take the piss out of comedy clubs like us and Newcastle, and Spurs before they brought in the journalists' best pal.
