Charity Shield details

the west again, becoming my second home. thinking of purchasing a car parking space near wembley and buying a diesel car im going to be there that often!

I don't think the fact that the rags have a paragraph on their website about the Community Shield game means anything and certainly not enough to criticise our club for.

What is there on it that we didn't know already? The date of the game? We knew that, the prices, that doesn't matter and what side of the stadium we're on? Is that really an issue that the non disclosure of this thus far gives a reason to criticise?

Not joking, some people take any opportunity to have a pop. The fact is, City are just finishing off all the season ticket details so they will need to assess who has what in terms of loyalty points once the renewals and new STs are done. Once that is all in hand, they will then know how many people have how many points, and then be in a position to know what points level will go on sale first, and which points levels will go on sale on what dates. As it's too soon to do that, I would expect that there will be a few days before there is an official announcement on all things Community Shield. The rags have a different system i.e. ballot, so that means they can offer their tickets earlier and thus publicise it earlier.

I wonder if we put it on ou website and they hadn't, redcafe would be moaning like this? I doubt it. What fo you want them to do, agree on a time to put it on the website and sychronise the timing? One of us has to put it on first, and on this occasion it was them. Doesn't mean they are great and we are shit, just one chose to put it on earlier than the other.

Is this site for real?

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.ticket4football.com/exclusives-tickets/6537/6562/manchester-united-vs-manchester-city-wembley-stadium-07-august-2011-tickets.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.ticket4football.com/exclusiv ... ckets.aspx</a>

How come nothing on the official site yet?

That was exactly the point I was making, still nothing on the OS three days after United ran it on their site, though from the response I got I don't think you're allowed to criticise the OS on here....

From United website (rag showed me)

Manchester United will take on Manchester City at Wembley Stadium in the Community Shield on Sunday 7 August.

The traditional season curtain-raiser, played between the league champions and the FA Cup winners, will kick off at 14:30 BST and be refereed by Phil Dowd.

Tickets will be priced at £20, £25, £35 and £45, with United fans allocated the east end of the ground and Manchester City supporters the west.

Hope them ticket prices are correct :)

There in black and white, apologies for the source:

Would have posted the link from our own clubs website but.......

But that is all irrelevant as the tickets all go to members of the supporters club, their friends and familly so there is no need to wait for loyalty points.

Presumably you don't mind the fact United have released the details and City haven't bothered keeping us informed then?[quote="2bluegp"]

Yet again our 'fantastic website' fails to give us the info first. Poor.

You checked them both?
