He broke bales ankle deliberately at the lane two seasons back. He was like a man possessed wanting to cause injury. Much worse than a Cattermole.
Last season again at the lane he was on a rampage to try to injure anyone. Surprised parker didn't end up with broken legs in that game too. Adam got sent off before the 40 minute work.
I always thought it was because levy didn't want him at spurs with a smaller bid, seemed to piss him off. Looks like he does it to other teams too. Definitely has beef with bale though, really wants to break his ankles every match.

He's simply not good enough for this league and knows it. Better players leave him for dust and his only reaction is petty violence. A Ben Thatcher waiting to happen.

Charlie Adam always seems to have incidents vs Spurs because a couple of seasons back he injured Bales ankle on purpose, last season he got sent off vs Spurs and this season he injured Bale.
