Once again: you don’t yet know the motive of the shooter. I would guess you’re right that it is someone angry at him for his words given how polariz(s)ing he was but it might not be.

Pretty much. It's the reason why the vast majority of low-profile, law-abiding people can sit down to eat in peace at a restaurant in this country; and the reason Tommy Robinson can't. if you publicize your cuntish thoughts on a regular basis, you open yourself up for other cunts to do cuntish things to you. And before any blissfully idiotic poster retorts, I'm not condoning violence in any way. I'm simply stating a fact.

I will add, if I had a wife and young children, I would not be going round spouting extremist ideologies; because it selfishly imperils their lives, and not just your own. From accounts on here it sounds like this guy was pissing blood from his carotid, so I'll be astounded if he survives.

Wish i could have avoided it. Didn't even mean to see it. For some reason, it was the first thing that popped up on my feed. I've never even heard of the bloke before.

So you want to create and make up a wild and weird scenario to try and justify what happened? The motive will be an outspoken public figure being targeted by an odd ball.

Having unfortunately watched the video, I’m fucking amazed he’s critical and not dead.

Hope he pulls through. For his family’s sake. Two kids under 4 who will likely grow up without a dad because some thick **** used violence instead of words.

I haven't watched the vid, but when I heard the shot was to the neck I also thought he'd be dead within minutes

I think the reason some here fail to grasp this concept is that like so many Internet forums, this one is pretty much anonymous. So the consequences of stating an opinion are trivial — a few likes, a few harsh words, maybe a ban if you piss off a mod. Were we all to use real names the stakes would be higher.
 
Horrific video but feels like it was absolutely inevitable.

You have a gun loving country and a man with horrific views (most of which arent even debatable to most sane people despite his attempts to debate), purposely going to areas of said country to antagonise and upset people with opposite views.
