Charlton Athletic bought by Sheikh Mansour's cousin?

Were once a big club Charlton.

Runners-up to us when we won the league in 1936-37 and were pulling in crowds over 75,000.

A ground I have yet to visit. I also struggle with Lee bowyers hair.

Interesting club.

Hahaha some absolute shit head that used to work in our London office once told me he thought City were scum and he hated us for the oil money shite blah blah.

Anyway, guess who the wanker supports... fucking Charlton.

Thankfully he left but I might message the **** on LinkedIn.

Well this is interesting. After their disastrous ownership by Roland Duchatelet, the club has been soild to a group called East Street Investments. Although not explicitly stated, the new owner appears to be Sheikh Saeed Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, a man with extensive business interests in his native Abu Dhabi.

Now why is that Al Nahyan name familiar? I'm sure it rings a bell somewhere.

The name is familiar because he was linked with a Newcastle take over a little while ago, not to be confused with a Dubai based Abu Dhabi member of royal family also linked with NUFC.
I worked at CAFC for ten years and they deserve some good news, after going through a terrible period under Belgium ownership, decent stadium, good fan base, if he gets the investment right, they have the potential to be a viable and sustainable premier league club.
