Ok now that the season is starting up again, I'm wondering what is the most cost effective way to watch the City games on TV?

I'm not looking for small rivers, instead I'm after recommendations for best TV packages to subscribe to, that will cover City's TV games until things settle down again. Also I don't want to get locked in to any long term subscriptions. Many thanks.

Now TV? Should have most games, no long term subs.

Just looked at the Now TV packages. They're offering a Sky monthly mobile sports package of £5.99 per month for smart phones only. I don't have a smart TV but have an apple box. Would it work if I subscribed to that package and then sling it to TV via my apple box? Any other better suggestions?

No. The mobile pass is exactly that, you can only watch it in your mobile. You can't watch it on a box or cast, they seem pretty tight in managing that.

If you're happy with a basic HD picture then this is how I do it ...

PL and Carabao: NowTV day pass (or week passes if there's 2 games in a week, possibly a monthly pass if we're on 4 or 5 times). I use Tesco clubcard vouchers to buy at triple value so a day pass (1 game) = £9.99/game, a week pass @ £14.99 (2 games) = £7.50/game, a month pass @ £25* (4 games) = £6.25/game. *Normal price is £33 but they sometimes offer £25 passes. It's sometimes worth looking for offers on NowTV sticks where they throw in monthly passes for a £28 stick. Prices are effectively £3.33/£2.50/£2.08 to £2.75. The weekly and monthly passes let me watch the cricket as well.

For BT games the cheapest way I have found is to buy a monthly £5 add-on to an EE mobile contract. Depends on the contract of course and you need to either pay more to cast it to a TV or have a device that can be wired by hdmi lead like a tablet which can download the BT app. EE are more expensive for mobile contracts though so perhaps not the cheapest way.

As another has said, £5.99 mobile pass with NowTV is frightening value if you’re happy watching on your phone.
