Yeah you're not getting it are you.He was found guilty at the first trial that was why he was sent to prison.it was only in April the verdict was quashed and a retrial was ordered

Yeah i am getting it all right he was found guilty of rape he brought in a new legal team who offered £50.000 for new evidence.pity the new witnesses did not come forward in the first place the case would proberbly never got to court.and he would not have spent 5 years pleading his innocence to a crime he did not commitYeah you're not getting it are you.
It is a horrible situation where there are no winners .on the face of it i am not sure if the case should have gone to court in the first place.god knows how much both cases must have cost plus he funded a £50.000 grand rewardIt seems that, even in light of a jury unanimously acquitting him in next to no time at all, some people want Evans to be guilty which I find utterly bizarre. Surely it's best to hope that he definitely is innocent and therefore no rape took place?

Your missing the point Don.He got found guilty at the first trial .what new evidence was brought into the second trial? All i can gather is his defence team offered a £50.000 reward for anyone who could give evidence that would lead to an aquital low and behold 2 ex lovers turn up and the girl is slaughtered in the witness box. Money talks .
As I said before, technically, he's never been found guilty as his record was expunged and the first trial was quashed.Yeah i am getting it all right he was found guilty of rape he brought in a new legal team who offered £50.000 for new evidence.pity the new witnesses did not come forward in the first place the case would proberbly never got to court.and he would not have spent 5 years pleading his innocence to a crime he did not commit
If you read my other post i state that i didnot think it should have gone to court in the first place i could never understand why one was cleared and one was not why on earth did the new witnesses only come forward when a reward was on offerYour missing the point Don.
There was not a single person who was able to say Ched Evans had sex with the girl without her consent
The girl couldn't remember a thing.weather she consented or not.it beggars belief Evans was convicited in the first place!!
It was the Cps who decided they needed another footballer sex scandal trial...based on the flimiest evidence possible
And,if Evans was charged, why wasn't Clayton jointly charged as a conspiracy seeing as he rang Evans and said "I've got a girl" did CLayton seek to establish if the girl wanted sex with Evans? I doubt it.Did the Cps just overlook this point,
Cps are a joke.u get Alison Saunders, the Cps head taking person involvement in the Lord Janner case, where multiple complainants from the last four decades claim they were sexually abused by Janner, the trial is not allowed to take place, the question of Janners mental health being decided by Saunders herself, instead of the court....then u have Evans case where the complainant has no recollection at all,and the trial is held.
Unbelievable.pity Alison Saunders didn't step in at the start of the first trial and save the Cps a lot of money.
The whole legal system stinks, one rule for the real perverts, and protection from the highest ranking official,to the point where Saunders makes her own rules up to protect the establishment, imo
