Ched Evans - serious injury

If he's cleared of his conviction he should 100% be able to play football again. I wouldn't disagree with him playing even if it's not cleared considering he's served his time. I'd question why he'd opt for such a high profile job however, given the amount of abuse he'll undoubtedly receive.

Would have thought considering how long he's been out he would have waited till the court case was out of the way before playing again.
As its only going to draw more attention to him weather he's found innocent or not

I agree with this. However, I didn't think Ched was too diplomatic with the statement below:

He's quite a controversial figure at the moment, so I'd have thought he could just thank the club for their faith in him and vow to get on with rebuilsing his career. But no, it's all about his big shot ambitions and little old Chesterfield, who are a bit beneath him, are just a step on the ladder.

'The stepping stone'. I wouldn't be happy if I was a Chesterfield fan.

You have to say, guilty or not, this lad isn't the sharpest tool in the box.

It's fake.

OK, hands up, my fault. A Sheffield United fan who's usally trustworthy gave me that and I didn't bother checking. I'll be having words.

The quote attributed to him by Chesterfield in their press release was: "I hope to make a valuable contribution both on and off the pitch for the football club, the fans and the community."

That one's obviously perfectly reasonable.

Not in the same league as the ched Evans case but seriously, if you think an aquittal is proof of innocent then I suggest you read this

http://news.sky.com/story/1715171/father-murdered-girl-11-months-after-custody-win

Fought for three years to overturn his conviction, won his appeal, got his daughter back and then her world ends. Some people will never take responsibility for their actions no matter what.

I don't care if he goes back to football, he can do what he likes but ched evans is a wrongun, a Slimy no good wrongun
