I searched but could not find an existing thread on the annual Cooper's Hill Cheese Rolling. So I know many people think it is complete stupidity, an unnecessary drain on medical services, bla bla bla, but I have always enjoyed watching the annual cheese rolling. Bat shit crazy culture that is still in existence in this pristine world we are supposed to live in.

However, have people seen this years highlight?

There are literally 100s of various footage angles available on youtube, but this one shows it pretty well.

We have similar in wybunbury, near to me.
Except it's pies, not cheese, and they don't chase them.
People flock from as far away as a couple of hundred yards to witness a poorly made pastry roundel disintegrate halfway down a closed off public road which purely by chance has the required incline to at least make it semi entertaining.

Mental stuff.

If I was going to do something crazy and local I'd have gone to my family in Ashbourne and done the Shrovetide Football thing. Probably not quite as dangerous.
I fancy that fly off the pier challenge, the Birdman of Bognor.
