Chelsea 2017/2018

Wrong, the Rags deserved it.They were far the better team, your lot were a disgrace in terms of effort and application.

Hopefully they wont give a fuck next Sunday either.

I'm sorry, but on the first half alone, I think we deserved at least a draw.

Conti mistake was taking Hazard of morato should come of and play hazard as the striker

No, he should have hauled Morata off at HT and put on Giroud. With the way we played in the first half, if Giroud had started, I'm confident we would be up by at least a couple of goals.

I think it was a mindset issue and fire power. United frustrated Chelsea out of the match. Every man and his dog knows Mourinho plays the averages and drills that into his players. When they are still playing a drab shit match after 75mins their whole entire world is focused on waiting for a mistake, mentally they are still on it. Chelsea at least wanted to try but just got beat out like many others. Their problem is Chelsea are simply lacking up front, Morata is the Pogba of strikers needing everything just so, even Giroud gets more mud on his kit than him.

Hazard whilst a very good player can not shape a game like Silva either as good a player as he is. He tried a bit but between himself and lack of good movement off the ball up front they quickly got trapped. I did notice a few times he could have been getting stuck in to when he was just walking. Call it harsh but i bet my last penny Pep would say the same. It is strange in a way. I saw a few moments Pep would be going fucking apeshit at Chelsea's closing down. Mainly because they were already close to play but not pressing, if taking part in play at all still; and the match was there to win.

Make no mistake Mourinho's anti footy still wins him a lot of games just not as many as it used to. Chelsea just didn't have the fire for it imo.

It was a lot simpler than that I think. We lacked creativity besides Hazard and Willian. Kante and Drinkwater played ok, but neither can create anything. Morata was a downright disgrace. I lost count of the amount of attacks that ended when the ball was passed to him. Essentially, Hazard and Willian had to play within themselves to have a chance at scoring, which is exactly we scored our goal, just them 2 passing to each other. Mourinho's teams are known for absorbing pressure, keeping the score low, and then grow into the game late on, and pepper the box with crosses against tired players. We played right into that by not being more assertive in our dominance.

I expect whatever happens this season, Chelsea will bounce back big time next season. Conte or no Conte. Abramovich might not have the muscle he once did but I think he's serious about competing unlike certain club owners/directors.

Who's replacing Conti in summer @Vialli98?

My preference is someone who can get the team playing good football, and get the best out of our best players, (Hazard, Fabregas, Christensen etc). Most people here know I would love that man to be Sarri, because he combines good football with sound tactics and good man management. Brendan Rodgers is not someone I would turn my nose up at. Less tactically, and we'd likely come up short in all comps, but his football would be great to watch.

My preference, most likely, differs from the club's preference. I bet names like Luis Enrique, Allegri, Simeone etc are who they are looking at.

Possibly, but unless City engage in crazy self-sabotage, I don't see how any of us stand a chance in the next couple of years, certainly in the Pep era. I would like to at least challenge City next season. It's embarrassing to be this far behind them.

It might take a season longer but I always say winners win, and Abramovich is a winner.

Selfishly I wouldn't mind if you're still behind us, although I think you can understand haha

What I find weird is this Conte claim that they are not spending money in the transfer market and the media not questioning his comments. Over last summer and January their signings are as follows (all in £):

Zappacosta 25, Rudiger 32, Drinkwater 35, Morata 70, Bakayoko 34, Giroud 15, Emerson 17 and Barkley 15....totalling 243 million....how the bloody hell does he seemingly get away with complaining about lack of money and pointing his finger at City's spending.
